- Amy Dickson and Catherine Milledge return to Chester after a very well received concert in 2007 for the Chester Summer Music Festival. Both are supported by the Countess of Munster Trust, which provides financial help to talented young artists who are on the threshold of a first class career. |
| - Born in Sydney, Amy began saxophone lessons at the age of seven and made her concerto debut at 16. At 17 she became a recipient of the James Fairfax Australian Young Artist of the Year competition, which led to a recording with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the start of an international career. |
| - After graduating with a first in Classics and English from Jesus College, Oxford Catherine Milledge was awarded a distinction for her post-graduate diploma in piano accompaniment from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and went on to gain a MMus in solo performance. She has performed in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room, the Wigmore Hall and St. John's, Smith Square, as well as the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and Holywell Music Room, Oxford. |
