2007-08 Season of Choir Concerts

The programme of Choir concerts for the 2007-08 season is as follows:

Sat. 24th November 2007 Mendelssohn: Elijah Elijah: Last performed by the choir in 1996, this very dramatic and popular oratorio by Felix Mendelssohn, written in the summer of 1844, is once again in the choir programme for its 2007/8 season. ...concert details...
	Mon. 17th and Tue 18th December 2007 A Christmas Celebration The Choir's annual Christmas Celebration concerts are once again scheduled for the Christmas period. Come along and enjoy this wonderful evening of seasonal music. ...concert details...
Sat. 8th March 2008 Bach: St John Passion The St John Passion was first performed on Good Friday in 1724. This powerful work by Bach, conveying the story of Jesus's last hours, was last performed by the Choir in 1985 and makes a welcome return to its 2007/8 programme. ...concert details...
	Sat. 10th May 2008 Cathedral Classics For its May 2008 concert the Choir will perform a number of classic cathedral choral works by a range of composers. ...concert details...
